What to do if you've had an accident

If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident

  1. Try to remain calm
  2. Check yourself and others for injuries
  3. Assist your passengers and others if it is safe to do so
  4. Call emergency services if required. (Police will only attend in case of injury.) Do not leave the scene if there are injuries
  5. Exchange details with any other drivers

  7. Note the date, time and location of the accident. Take photos of the vehicles and the location
  8. Record the names, addresses and contact numbers of any witnesses
  9. Notify your family or employer that you have been involved in an accident

This process is time-consuming and complex and is the only way that you, as a consumer, can be completely satisfied that every potential issue with your vehicle has been identified and thoroughly assessed.

For these reasons, we only wish to deliver formal quotes from customers who intend to go through with the car repair.

By limiting formal quotations to those who are seriously considering getting their car repaired, South Melbourne Smash Repairs is able to provide quality quotes in a timely manner and reduce wasted resources on requests that may not lead to repairs.
